Frequently asked questions

Is hypnotherapy Northern Beaches safe?

Completely and utterly safe. You aren’t put in any situation to worry about, it purely involves experiencing a trance-like state so that the subconscious part of your brain is accessible. There are no detrimental effects with hypnosis.

How does hypnotherapy Northern Beaches feel?

I have heard various descriptions of how it feels with the majority saying it is similar to a daydream. Cognitive Hypnotherapy Northern Beaches uses only a light, natural trance so you will be fully in control of yourself at all times.

Will I fall asleep?

No. It is unusual for a deep trance to be employed with Cognitive Hypnotherapy Northern Beaches so you will be far from a sleep-like state. Clients feel like they are in a bit of a daze or a daydream, it is not possible for this trance to become “stuck” in any way nor will you fall into a deep asleep.

Can I drive after a session?

Yes, it is perfectly safe to drive after each of our sessions at Master your Mind hypnotherapy Northern Beaches.

How many sessions should I need?

This varies massively from client to client. I offer a treatment programme which consists of a series of bespoke sessions (typically around four appointments) however some people prefer to maintain contact with Master your Mind hypnotherapy Northern Beaches on a consistent basis until they feel confident in their abilities. We can discuss sessions over the phone however typically most people attend between two and four sessions. Many clients like to attend coaching sessions following the completion of their Treatment Programme which gives them the skills to recognise trigger situations and to deal with them independently.

Method of Payment at hypnotherapy Northern Beaches?

What is included in this fee?

The initial appointment at hypnotherapy Northern Beaches will last 90 minutes. Subsequent sessions range from 60-90 minutes. I like to keep an element of flexibility in our timings as I don’t believe in cutting someone off merely because of timings. Between session support is available via email, I offer a mid-session phone call if you need and also provide you with downloads to listen to. All of which are included in the fee.

What support do you offer between sessions?

It is often the times between sessions where we can feel most vulnerable and unsure of how to handle the changes and emotional responses we are experiencing. I never want any of my clients to struggle in silence and this is why I include the following as part of treatment for everyone at hypnotherapy Northern Beaches:

  • 24-hour email support

  • A mid-session ‘check in’ phone call if you require

  • Downloads for you to listen to

  • Any other useful tools to keep you heading in the right direction between seeing me
